FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Oct 07, 2008Canoe Sailing Magazine (http://CanoeSailingMagazine.com) and Conservation International (www.Conservation.org) today entered into an agreement whereby the highly respected conservation organization will share its articles with the sole publication dealing with canoe and kayak sailing.

"I am extremely pleased this came about," said Canoe Sailing Magazine publisher Edward C. Maurer, "Conservation International's willingness to share with us helps bolster the value of our publication and is verification of our hard work. Canoers and kayakers are by their very nature stewards of the environment. By sharing Conservation International's articles with our global readership, we contribute to increasing awareness of what large organizations do towards preserving the very waters we all enjoy."

Since Canoe Sailing Magazine's first issue January, 2008, it has wanted to publish articles about environmental issues that impact those who love the waters in which we sail. While not all the pieces will be about "local" waters, they inevitably will be since Canoe Sailing Magazine is truly a global magazine, and its readers each share a portion of a joint home water that flows around the planet. While many of the articles selected will be from a few years ago, many will be more recent, but they are all still current, insightful and inciteful.

About Conservation International: We believe that the Earth's natural heritage must be maintained if future generations are to thrive spiritually, culturally, and economically. Our mission is to conserve the Earth's living heritage – our global biodiversity – and to demonstrate that human societies are able to live harmoniously with nature.
