Save Your Energy For Later!

Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are now required for all commercial properties; they are being introduced to comply with the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Oct 07, 2008 – These certificates will grade performance on a scale from A-G, similar to the system for grading white goods. Needless to say, businesses will be trying to achieve an ‘A’ Grade and, in order to do this, may have to take a good look at their energy usage and the products they choose.

Although half of the UK’s energy consumption arises from heating and lighting, there are many more ways that we can decrease energy usage. Choosing the right machines and equipment can help a great deal. Looking at your choice of office coffee machine is a perfect first step.

At Mars Drinks, our hot drinks machines have been designed to be as energy efficient as possible. In fact, we’re so excited about our progress that we have been working with an independent energy testing company to compare the energy efficiency of our FLAVIA Creation 400™ and KLIX Outlook™ drink vending machines against leading market competitors.

Here are some key results from the FLAVIA Creation 400™:

   * 21% more energy efficient than the leading single serve competitor
   * 14% more energy efficient than the average result for the leading bean to cup machines tested
   * 12% more energy efficient than the average for a range of leading household kettles tested
   * 5% more energy efficient than the average result for the range of hot water boilers tested and the same test  revealed 71% more efficient in standby mode
   * In ‘standby’ mode the FLAVIA Creation 400™ outperforms all the leading table-top fresh brew office coffee machines tested

Altogether outstanding results for the FLAVIA Creation 400™ - proving that great tasting drinks don’t have to cost the earth. So, if you are looking for ways of reducing your business energy usage and want to get an ‘A’ Grade on you EPC, look no further than Mars Drinks. Watch this space for the KLIX Outlook™ results that will be coming soon….
