2008 America's Team Award presented to Central Washington University Women's Softball Team

PRLog (Press Release) – Oct 05, 2008 – Because of their exemplary commitment to sportsmanship, their outstanding teamwork, and their pursuit of academic achievement the Central Washington University women’s softball team has been selected as the recipient of the 2008 America’s Team Award.  
The award will be presented to Coach Gary Frederick and the team on Saturday, October 4 at halftime of the CWU football game versus Dixie State.

In addition to the award the America’s Team Charitable Foundation has presented $10,000.00 to the Central Washington University Department of Athletics.

The America’s Team Award is an annual team award based on integrity, sportsmanship, honesty, teamwork and achievement.  The award recognizes the team as outstanding athletes that exemplify the positive lessons learned while participating in team sports. The award acknowledges that the 2008 Wildcat softball team inspired many throughout the country with their sportsmanship.
