You Can't Open The Door For Care. You Don't Want To Leave Your Door Unlocked. What Do You Do?

PRLog (Press Release) – Oct 03, 2008 – This situation is this. There are people that because of a physical limitation can not open their door to allow care of various types to enter the home. One example is 'Meals on Wheels". You can not place a key outside because Meals On Wheels will not accept the liability of entering the home and then having to re-lock the door.

Assistive Technology Services has worked with agencies to accommodate this situation. We have provided remote controlled deadbolts to the disabled person.

This allows the disabled person the ability to remotely unlock the deadbolt then allow the caregiver access to the home. When the caregiver leaves the disabled person presses a button on the remote and re-locks the door.

The manufacturer lists a range of 30 feet but we have successfully tested this at over 75 feet and had success.

A remote deadbolt is just one of the solutions for the disabled that Assistive Technology Services continues to pioneer.
