Tvg To Air Exclusive Live Coverage Of Big Brown’s Final Prep For The Breeders’ Cup

PRLog (Press Release) – Oct 02, 2008 – TVG, America’s Horseracing Network, will offer exclusive live coverage of Big Brown as he makes his final prep for the Breeders’ Cup Classic in the $500,000 Monmouth Stakes on Sept. 13 at New Jersey’s Monmouth Park.

TVG’s live race coverage will begin Saturday at 4:30 p.m. EST. The 1 1/8 mile Monmouth Stakes will mark 2008 Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Haskell Invitational winner Big Brown’s first start on turf since breaking his maiden last year at Saratoga. Big Brown fell short of taking this year’s Triple Crown after his loss in the Belmont Stakes. The race will be Big Brown’s final prep before running the Breeders’ Cup Classic at Santa Anita on Oct. 25.
The race’s $200,000 purse increases to $500,000 with Big Brown’s start. This will be Big Brown’s first race since winning last month’s Haskell.
