Stephen Hamstra, Vice President of GMB Architects & Engineers and a featured speaker at the seminar agrees. “There is a growing market for alternative energy, whether it’s solar, hydro, wind or even animal by-products. Dave Prouty has 30 years of experience in design and manufacturing of gas heating, electrical cooling, waste gas energy recovery, industrial and commercial refrigeration and custom air moving devices. As the owner of Heat Transfer International (HTI), a subsidiary of Thermocon Corporation, Dave has acquired and integrated Presque Isle Engineering and C&H Combustion Company’s assets and intellectual properties with his company’s industrial heating, cooling and electrical manufacturing facility in Dutton, MI.
To add to the proficiency level of the speakers addressing the attendees, Stephen Hamstra was named the first engineer in Michigan to achieve LEED Accredited Professional status in 2001. In 2007, the Association of Energy Engineers recognized him as a “Legend in Energy” for lifetime achievement.
