Oct 01, 2008 – The Albany Public Library will show the newly released Iron Man, an APL Sunday Cinema film, in the Large Auditorium of the Main Library on October 5th at 2PM. The movie stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, and Terrence Howard. After an accident, billionaire industrialist Tony Stark creates a suit that sustains his life. When he heals, he decides to use his technology to fight crime and leads a double life as Iron Man in thiscomic book adventure. (Rated PG-13, 126 minutes.)
Mark your calendars now for our second Sunday Cinema on October 19, 2PM. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Starring Harrison Ford, Shia LaBeouf, and Cate Blanchett. Set in 1957, an older and wiser Indiana Jones is pitted against agents of the Soviet Union in pursuit of the mystical Crystal Skull. Indy is joined in the jungles of South America by an upstart named Mutt who reminds him of his younger self in the fourth installment of this incredibly successful franchise. (Rated PG-13, 124 minutes.)
