LAS VEGAS - For the second consecutive year, Vancouver-based Storefront.com was the big winner in the “Kiosk Shootout” competition at the annual Photo Marketing Association (PMA) convention, the flagship exhibition of the photographic industry. Bettering last year’s record-setting performance, which saw Storefront claim four of a possible six industry awards, this year the company walked away with six of eight possible honors. Competing in a field of 12 strong competitors including major global players such as Kodak, Fujifilm, Mitsubishi and Sony, Storefront took 3 of 4 Experts’ Choice awards and 3 of 4 People’s Choice awards, as follows:
Experts’ Choice awards:
Photo Kiosk Software
Instant Print Station
Digital Order Station
People’s Choice awards:
Photo Kiosk Software
Instant Print Station
Multi-Function Kiosk
Reflecting on this latest success, Storefront president and CTO Murray Macdonald remarked, “Last year we were recognized by the experts, but found it hard to compete with the major brands for consumer popularity. We were very pleased this year, in addition to the expert recognition, to win 3 of 4 of the People’s Choice awards.”
Storefront.com is the only company ever to have won four awards in the PMA Kiosk Shootout. Winning 6 this year sets a new record, one that is likely to stand for some time.
