ROCKEY-Driverless Network Software Protection Dongle NetROCKEY4ND Released

PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 07, 2007 – NetROCKEY4ND is the enhanced driverless version of NetROCKEY4 which is built base on HID driverless architecture, no driver installation needed and is completely plug & play. HID driverless architecture will eliminate at least 90% of potential end user support which arise from device driver issue. Below are the summary of additional features of NetROCKEY4ND against previous NetROCKEY4

New Features are:-
1. Driverless
Completely plugNplay without the need to install any device driver, the supported Operating System (Win98SE/ME/2000/2003/Vista) will recognize NetROCKEY4ND as an HID device in the system. Perfect solution to eliminate potential end user technical support issue arise on device driver.

2. Bigger Memory
NetROCKEY4ND come with total 1K User Data Zone, i.e. 500 bytes high memory where can be read/write with Basis Passwords (P1 & P2) and 500 bytes low memory where it can only be read/write with Advanced Passwords (P3 & P4).

3. More Modules
NetROCKEY4ND has increased its Module Zones from previously 16 Modules to now 64 Modules, i.e. you can now protect upto 64 software modules/products with a single NetROCKEY4ND.

4. More Algorithms
NetROCKEY4ND come with upto 128 User Definable Algorithms which will allow developers to include more comprehensive security algorithms as they wish.

5. 64-bit Protection
NetROCKEY4ND provides protection not only for 32-bit applications running on 64-bit Operating System, but also for 64-bit native applications.


100% Compatible with Old NetROCKEY4

NetROCKEY4ND can be seamlessly migrated from NetROCKEY4 without the need to modify source code. All the APIs are same except the dll/lib files, what you need is just to replace the new dll/lib files.

Best Choice for New NetROCKEY4 Customers
For any new customer who interested to try NetROCKEY4 network models, definitely NetROCKEY4ND is the better choice if compare to NetROCKEY4, new customer should use NetROCKEY4ND from the start unless customer also need LPT model for end users using older version of Operating System that do not support USB port.


Consideration for existing NetROCKEY4 Customers
However, for existing NetROCKEY4 customers, you can still consider whether you should make such changes on your future order with below consideration:-

USB Model only - If you are using USB model only since NetROCKEY4ND is only available on USB model. You shouldn't consider upgrade if you are currently using mainly LPT model.

Extensive Use of Memory - If you make extensive use of NetROCKEY4 Internal Memory for your protection implementation. NetROCKEY4ND come with bigger memory, i.e. 1K User Data Zone, 64 Module Zones, 128 User Define Algorithms.

Convenient of Driverless option - If you prefer a more user friendly and convenient implementation of NetROCKEY4ND, completely PlugNPlay without any device driver installation needed. Indirectly, this will eliminate potential end user technical support issue arise from device driver problem.
