“Private sessions in Pilates exercise (especially on the equipment) and Reiki healing can make such a huge difference in any person’s long term wellness and fitness that I decided they should be available to all TCI residents at an affordable price,” says Lippin, who has been teaching Pilates for 18 years and practicing energy healing for the last decade. She became a Reiki Master, which enables her to teach Reiki healing to others, in October 2006.
“It can be expensive to live in Paradise and I wanted to provide quality services that can now be available to just about anyone who wants and/or needs them.”
TCI residents now receive 20-40% off Lippin’s standard rate of $90 per hour. Now one hour of either Pilates or Reiki (or both combined) will cost residents $70 per session or they can buy a package of 10 sessions for $550. Shorter sessions for as little as $30 when purchased as package can also be arranged.
Pilates (originally Contrology) is a method of exercise that utilizes springs and/or gravity as resistance to strengthen every muscle in the body from the core torso muscles outward. Developed by German immigrant to New York Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, Pilates has lasted because it works--leaving clients stretched and strong without back, neck, or joint pain.
Lippin, who has rehabilitated herself through 2 bad auto accidents and major abdominal surgery, first studied with the original Pilates Studio in NYC. She currently acts as TCI’s only certifying teacher for NYC’s Pilates PhysicalMind Institute® as well as being the country's only licensed Pilates For Golf® teacher.

Reiki (ray-key) is a method of energy healing developed by Japanese Dr. Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. The word Reiki is made of two words - Rei which means "Universal" and Ki which is "life force energy". A Reiki healing is simply performed and it is easy to learn and perform on yourself. The healer places his or her hands upon the fully clothed client in specified places and in a specific order with the intent for healing to occur, and then the energy begins flowing. Reiki reduces stress, promotes physical & emotional healing, and is currently used in many hospitals and hospices.
Again, Lippin used Reiki on herself, her friends and family before introducing it to a wider audience. “I try not to waste my or anybody else’s time with services that do not work. Pilates and Reiki work well and work quickly, and that’s why I continue to use and promote them!”
